2016 Tumbleweeds Film Festival Field Trips

The Utah Film Center is pleased to offer Tumbleweeds Festival Field Trips. Classes are invited to attend one of a list of movies available through the Tumbleweeds Film Festival. All films are accompanied by corresponding grade level curriculum and/or a post-screening discussion.

Update: We are pleased to announce the films that have been selected for this year’s Festival Field Trips: The Little Prince and Tumbleweeds Select Animated Shorts program. (Descriptions below)

This year we arranged for a busing credit for the first 2,000 registrants. If your group registers in that window you will receive a $1 per person transportation reimbursement, to be issued upon completion of your Festival Field Trip.

THE LITTLE PRINCE
Recommended for ages 8+ | 91 min

Never theatrically released in Utah.

Teachers receive a corresponding curriculum guide with in-classroom activities and discussion ideas.
Variety Magazine calls The Little Prince “a respectful, lovingly reimagined take on Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s classic 1943 tale, which adds all manner of narrative bells and whistles to the author’s slender, lyrical story of friendship between a pilot and a mysterious extraterrestrial voyager, but stays true to its timeless depiction of childhood wonderment at odds with grown-up disillusionment.”
