Acting has a very different style on the screen than on the stage, and we are here to teach you how to bring a riveting performance to the silver screen! Learn the techniques of acting for the camera, how it contrasts with acting on the stage, and how to get a great performance for film. This hands-on workshop is great for classes about to start a film project, and/or drama classes and clubs with students interesting in learning more about acting.
Each one-hour workshop is a combination of lectures and hands-on activities. It is recommended no more than one class (20-30 students) per reservation to get the full benefits of a workshop.
If you want your entire grade level to participate in a workshop or you have any questions about the workshops, dates, and times they are available, please contact the Education department at edu@utahfilmcenter.org.
