TEST TPD Registration

Please join Utah Film Center for our Filmmaking in the Classroom professional development. This program trains educators how to integrate technology into classroom instruction.

Participants learn the step-by-step fundamentals of filmmaking and learn how to use the process of filmmaking as an effective learning tool that motivates and inspires students. All educators complete the course with a full standards-linked filmmaking curriculum manual that includes online resources and support.

There are two options on how to take this course:

OPTION 1
WHAT: FREE Two-day Professional Development for Teachers Grades 4-12
Topic: Filmmaking in the Classroom

WHEN: Friday, October 8, 2021 & Saturday, October 9, 2021. Daily 9 am-5 pm.

WHERE: Salt Lake Community College South Campus, Center for Media and Arts

OPTION 2
WHAT: FREE self-paced Professional Development for Teachers Grades 4-12
Topic: Filmmaking in the Classroom
WHEN: Starts September 6, 2021 and ends when teacher completes the course or no later than December 15, 2021.

CREDITS OFFERED
Educators select how they want to receive their credits. The professional development can count toward the following credits:

a) 1.0 USBE Credit,
b) 15 re-licensure credit,
c) Up to 6 credit hours toward an Educational Technology Endorsement, or
d) Up to 6 credit hours toward a Media Arts Endorsement.
